Samsung Electronics East Africa has set the Kenyan price of the Galaxy S26 FE at RRP KES 103,100 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, on sale from 4 September through what the company calls select retail channels and partner stores. The colours are Blueberry, Pistachio and Graphite. We covered what changed and what did not when Samsung announced the phone globally on 27 August.
Kenya gets one configuration. Samsung sells the S26 FE in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB versions elsewhere, and in the United States the 128GB model is $699.99 while the 256GB is $799. At about 130 shillings to the dollar through August 2026, $799 is roughly KES 103,870.

Samsung says a 45W adapter takes the battery to 69% in about 30 minutes. The camera hardware is the same as the Galaxy S25 FE’s, so the changes are in software. My FanCam keeps a chosen subject centred during video recording, and Super Steady with Horizontal Lock holds the frame level while you move. Photo Assist edits images from typed instructions, and what Samsung’s release calls Gemini Omni assembles gallery photos and clips into finished videos. The S26 FE is the first Galaxy S26 phone to ship with One UI 9 already installed, which the rest of the S26 line is still waiting to receive.
Manish Jangra, Head of the MX Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa, framed the launch around cost. “With the Galaxy S26 FE, our objective is to lower the barrier to premium mobile experiences,” he said in the company’s statement. Samsung says Kenyan buyers also get Samsung Care+ cover and a six-month Google AI Pro trial with extra cloud storage.
Tackling the price
The Galaxy S25 FE was selling below KES 70,000 by June. In the same month, importers were listing the Galaxy S26 Ultra at KES 115,000 for an open-box 12GB and 256GB unit, and KES 124,000 brand new, against a launch price above KES 150,000. So the S26 FE arrives about KES 33,000 above last year’s Fan Edition and about KES 12,000 below the cheapest Ultra a Kenyan buyer could find in June.
