Samsung Galaxy A20s official with Triple Cameras but NO AMOLED Screen

Samsung is continuing to update it’s 2019 A-series line-up. We’ve already seen the new Galaxy A10s, Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s, and now we have details on the updated A20s. Unfortunately, it feels like a downgrade in terms of the things that really attracted us to the original A20: there’s no more Super AMOLED Display, and USB type-C is yet to be confirmed.

There’s now a 6.5 inch HD+ TFT display with an Infinity-V notch. There’s also now a new processor. Instead of going with an Exynos one like with the original, Samsung has opted for the Snapdragon 450. How this impacts performance is something we cannot gauge until we interact with the device.

The major upgrade though is in the camera department where Samsung has added an extra lens. There’s now a 5MP depth sensor, plus an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, which together work with the 13MP main sensor.

Hopefully, Samsung didn’t ditch USB type-C on this phone because that, and the AMOLED display really made it stand out. When I reviewed the phone, I called it one of the best budget devices in the market, and everyone I know who bought themselves the device post-review, based on my recommendation, still really loves their handset.

Given that there will be about 7 different models of the A20s, I hope Samsung Kenya bring the model with 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and price it very competitively. All the A-series 2019 have done really well this year in Kenya, bringing tough competition to TECNO, Infinix, and Huawei.
