Alleged One UI 9 timeline claims stable Galaxy S26 & S25 update arrives late August/September

If you’ve been eagerly waiting for Samsung’s One UI 9 update, a new leak might give you a rough idea of when your Galaxy device could finally get it. Just don’t take it as official, at least not yet.

A tipster on social media claims Samsung Customer Support shared the following rollout timeline in a Samsung Members community post:

• Early August: One UI 9 ships pre-installed on new Galaxy devices.
• Late August to September: Stable rollout begins for the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25 series.
• Late 2026: Older Galaxy flagships, Galaxy A series phones, and tablets receive the update.

The post also claims this information came directly from Samsung, but here’s the catch: we have no way to independently verify that claim. We also haven’t seen Samsung publish this timeline through any official newsroom or software update channel.

That said, we think the dates are worth discussing because they closely mirror what we’d already expect based on Samsung’s current progress.

Stable One UI 9 is already available out of the box on the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, which are expected to be widely available in early August as accurately captured in the alleged timeline. Samsung has also opened the public beta program for the Galaxy S26 lineup, while internal test builds have already leaked for the Galaxy S25 series and several other Galaxy devices.

From my experience covering Samsung software rollouts, the next logical step would indeed be a stable release for Samsung’s latest flagship phones before the update gradually expands to older premium devices, mid-range Galaxy A phones, and tablets.

So, while this alleged timeline shouldn’t be treated as confirmation, it doesn’t raise any obvious red flags either. For now, we’d recommend treating it as an educated prediction rather than a promise. Samsung could still adjust its rollout schedule depending on beta feedback, regional testing, or last-minute bugs.
